Türkiye – Monday, 30 January 2023 – The SRTF delivered two pick-up trucks under its Food Security project, “Complementary Project for Enhancing Food Security in the North of Aleppo Governorate – Phase VI”, today.
These trucks will be used for the distribution of bread which was produced in the bakeries established under a previous phase of this project.
The aim of this project is to increase the production of better-quality bread, offered at affordable prices so it becomes more accessible for people living in those communities. This is done by ensuring a sustainable supply of wheat and bakery equipment, thereby, increasing the availability of flour delivered to the bakeries.
This project has a budget of EUR 8.4 million and will directly benefit around 250,000 individuals per month across Northern Aleppo, over a period of 18 months including six months for post-implementation monitoring and evaluation. This will contribute to better food security in the area.
